My name is Marc Marmeto.
I’ve been a photographer for fifteen years. I spent my freshman and sophomore year of high school in Basic/Intermediate Photography and my junior & senior year in Advanced Photography. I got into this as a venture into community building. My requirement is that once we’ve gone through the war of filmmaking or a long strenuous photoshoot that’s had us explore different perspectives of ourselves, I want to be able to break bread with you at the table.
Along with my mirrorless Canon R6 Mark II camera, I shoot on a Canon AE-1 35mm film and a Pentax 67 120mm medium format film.
Along with being an photographer, I am also an avid filmmaker with the aspirations to be a cinematographer. I have always loved film for as long as I could remember. I was awarded “Upcoming Cinematographer” in 2022 by the AIFF through a short film my friend Najevo directed. Since then, I have worked on several shorts, one short film, two documentary features, and a new feature length, “Coming Back to Life” set to release in January 2025.
From what I’ve learned the best cinematographers are those that had deep roots in photography. We’ve learned story telling from just a singular image but now we get the honor to tell stories through constant moving frames.
