Hello, I’m Marc - a photographer and filmmaker based in Anchorage, Alaska.
My photography mainly consists of portraiture photography and at times candid moments of my life, of other people, or something that intrigues me. Also, I have a collection of portraits that consist of women being less revealed than one would imagine. When people ask me, “What’s it like being a boudoir photographer?” and I simply reply to them, “I’m not.”
One of my goals as a photographer is to bridge the gap. There’s the gap between what we think we should look like, what we want to look like, and what we look actually like. And the job I have as a photographer is to create both realization and acceptance with anyone I work with and to accept that gap. Because the world needs people being human again.
My short films…they can be quite of a mess but beautiful. Whether it was a day in the life of someone who is silently grieving to a road trip film between two long lost best friends mending a broken relationship, I have always been intrigued with telling stories that were human. Where the mundane can become something extraordinary and everyone’s moment in life matters.
I started photography in 2010 in the eigth grade and got my first DSLR (a Canon EOS Rebel T3i) and I haven’t turned back since. I took Beginner’s Photography my junior year of high school and Advanced Photography my senior year. Furthermore, I began to shoot film on the side to diversify my newfound passion. Nowadays, I shoot on a wide array of formats such as mirrorless cameras such as the Sony A7III to the Canon R6 Mark II and even several forms of 35mm & 120mm film cameras like the Leica M6, Contax T2, and the Pentax 67.
My goal in life is to grow my art and make it something that I can muster into a full career whether than be working as a cinematographer in the film industry, being a fashion and/or editorial photographer, and to maybe even working as a journalist for a magazine company such as Time or Vogue.
